Artist VR experience – (ab)Normal
This piece was born out of a collaboration between A-VR and (ab) Normal, in which A-VR created a virtual reality experience to complement the ‘Datasutra’ exhibition at London’s Anise Gallery in 2018. (ab)Normals work is an experiment in architectural representation – deconstructing photo-realistic renders before rearranging them as illustrations based on Normal vectors.
A-VR has taken the immersive nature of these images one step further by creating a curated virtual reality experience of the work. VR lets the audience become part of the fantasy inside the pictures, transforming the passive gallery viewing experience into an immersive sensory journey.
